Are All Lottery Numbers Equal?
Twenty Seven Australians went to bed on Saturday night, 19 Dec 2009, thinking they had won maybe $1,000,000.00.
They awoke on Sunday morning to find it was $148,148.27.
Here are the results: 27 winners!

I guess they might have a different opinion this morning on the question, “Are all lottery numbers equal?”
The Traditional Lotto Numbers Argument.
Often this is in response to the wrong question – do all lotto numbers have the same chance of coming out.
“Yes” is correct as far as the first ball is concerned – but it is a simplistic answer. If you are playing a 45-ball lottery and the first number drawn is an even lotto number – then there are 23 odd lotto numbers and 21 even lotto numbers left. You do not need to be a university professor to work out that there is a slight advantage to an odd number being drawn.
The Human Element of Lotto.
What so-called experts forget is that the randomness of lotto is significantly altered by human behaviour – as the above results show.
All numbers are under 31 – what lotto experts call the “birthday numbers theory.” Many people use 1 to 31 because they choose their lotto numbers according to the birthdays of family members. A second human behaviour factor is that most people mark numbers from 1 onwards – with all 6 lotto numbers marked before they get to the high numbers.
Winning Lotto Numbers and Payouts
In general, if the winning lotto numbers are all low, there will be more winners than on an average week. If numbers are all high, there will be fewer winners than on an average week. True 99% of the time, but of course there are exceptions to all rules.
A few years ago, a New South Wales State Lottery had 21 winners because all of the winning lotto numbers were low. In the USA many years ago, a State Lottery analysed the “most played lotto numbers.” Result: 1-2-3-4-5-6; if these numbers had come out, there would have been thousands of winners.
What Lotto Numbers Should You Play?
The book, “Winning Lotto Secrets” suggests 1-3 numbers from each third of the total lotto numbers. For example, in a 45-ball lottery 1-3 numbers should come from 1-15, 1-3 numbers from 16-30, and 1-3 numbers from 31-45; for a 49-ball lottery it should be 1-3 numbers from 1-16, 1-3 numbers from 17-33, and 1-3 numbers from 34-49.
An analysis of 1,000 winning lottery numbers from Tattslotto shows the above worked for 663 of the 1,000 draws – or roughly, it works 2 weeks out of 3 on average. All winning lottery numbers under 23, as in the above lotto results, worked for just 13 of the 1,000 weeks – on average, less than once a year.
So not only does it not happen very often, but it pays peanuts when it does win!

Here is another of our Winning Lotto Syndicate Prizes.
This one was for 5 Powerball numbers – If we had had the Powerball as well, we would have shared in $22 Mill – Ouch!
The secret is a highly optimized lottery system, sharing the cost with a few close friends. I do not make the ridiculous claims found on most lottery websites; I just offer proof that what we do does improve your chances.
We use MANY different techniques to make sure our entry matches the “Profile” of most (but not all) winning lotto numbers. “Lottery Profiling” is a technique I invented and we give you an example in the post below on “Lottery Profiling.”
Lottery Profiling is what makes our Lotto Syndicates perform so much better. How often do YOU win lotto? Even a small prize? If the answer is 3-4 times a year – maybe it is time to try something new?
Here is why lottery profiling makes such a difference.
So-called lotto experts will tell you that every ball has an equal chance of coming out – that is a Half-Truth. It is true if we are looking at balls INDIVIDUALLY; but a Set of SIX balls is required to win lotto.
If we look at Actual Results for 1,000 Australian Saturday lotto draws to Oct 2009, we find the following:
341 draws had 3 odd and 3 even lotto numbers; 34%
242 draws had 4 odd and 2 even lotto numbers; 24%
225 draws had 2 odd and 4 even lotto numbers; 23%
100 draws had 5 odd and 1 even lotto numbers; 10%
65 draws had 1 odd and 5 even lotto numbers; 7%
Only 14 draws had all Odd lotto numbers; 1%
Only 13 draws had all Even lotto numbers. 1%
So, you can see that :
- A result that has 3 odd and 3 even numbers is 26 times more likely to come out than a result with 6 even numbers
- A result that has 3 odd and 3 even numbers occurs, on average, 1-week-in-3
- The top 3 results above (3 odd and 3 even numbers, 4 odd and 2 even numbers, 2 odd and 4 even numbers) account for just over 80% of all lotto results – or, looked at another way, come out 8-weeks-out-of-10.
By careful, mathematically precise, manipulation of both our lotto numbers and our lotto systems, I ensure that 95% of our games are of these three types. I also ensure that there are no games having all odd or all even numbers.
This is just one of several techniques we use to improve our odds of winning lotto – It is also why our lottery syndicate entries take me 4-6 hours to prepare. You can spend years discovering these techniques, and hours creating your entry – Or you can join me!

The so called “Experts” will tell you that “All Lottery Numbers Are Equal.” But consider this result from the Australian Tattslotto draw 3175 on Saturday 24 Dec, 2011:
24 Division 1 Winners won $195,909.30 each (In a normal week, there are 4-8 lottery winners).
Why so many winners? Because the Tattslotto Winning numbers were:
1 4 7 9 12 30
Camelot Group plc currently operates the UK lottery. A bid is opened in every eight years to call different companies to operate the national lottery. This process is managed and controlled by the National Lottery Commission, an organizations which has no connections with the government of Britain. This company also looks after the just reasonable of players.
Camelot came into being in 1993. It had several shareholders such as Thales Electronics plc, Cadbury Schweppes, Fujitsu Services Ltd., De La Rue Holdings plc, and Royal Mail Enterprises Ltd. GTECH was one of the shareholders, however it was later bought-out after an issue which that affected the bid. Their executives such as Tim Holley were held in charge of Camelot unfairly getting large bonuses. When the case was taken to Labor government, and it found out about the loopholes and the way the executives in Camelot were making money, it became a very big embarrassment for Camelot.
Camelot again decided to bid for the national lottery in the year 2001. Their contender, the People’s Lottery, was quite sure that they would surely brag the bid after the GTECH case. It was however proved that the lottery terminals that were made by GTECH, had some faults, due to which, wrong winnings amounts were made. GTECH’s shares were sold and Camelot started bidding again.
In a turn of events the National Lottery Commission chair, Dame Helena, told the companies that they both did not meet the requirements to run the lottery. Even so, the National Lottery Commission still tried to give the company to The People’s Lottery. Seeing the injustice of this, Camelot took the National Lottery Commission to court. The High Court awarded the case to Camelot saying that the Commission’s decision was conspicuously unfair. The National Lottery Commission fired their Treasury team that had made the decision.
Later on the bidding reopened and Camelot won 4-1. The shareholders remain the same today except for the bought-out GTECH. It is now running the largest lottery franchise in the UK and raising money for various causes. Their biggest lottery game is known as the Lotto, and almost all of their games are done through scratch cards and pick the number games.
The fund that is raised by lottery in UK is segregated into various sections. The majority of the fund, for every pound that is spent goes to the ‘prize money’ (50p) or the several good-causes (28p). Whereas 12p of the amounts goes to the government of Britain and 5p of it goes people who sell the lottery tickets, etc. Camelot’s profit is 5p per pound, and it utilizes 4.5p of it, to get their costs, and 0.5p is their profit.
Camelot has successfully operated the UK lottery franchise, and it has thrived under it. When sales started declining, they came up with a new campaign with lowered costs. This is the time when several lottery games were changed to the Lotto. After that, the sales again picked momentum. They recently run a campaign, where one of the lottery games was intended to raise funds for the 2012, Olympics and the Paralympics.
Most of us will have seen them before, the scam emails that are supposedly from one or other of the lottery operators that are located all over the world. These messages claim that we have won a lot of money. Usually they mimic the details, logo and name of a legitimate lottery operator, like those who sell UK lottery tickets to buyers in foreign countries. Actually most of these senders are not linked in any way to the legal operators of lotteries. Mostly these mails come from people who operate a scam also known as advance fee fraud. Their aim is not to pay you winnings, even though that’s what they claim, but rather to get money from you.
Be careful and do not fall for this type of con. Use common sense when receiving unexpected messages by email, especially those involving money. It is all too easy to be scammed and lose money that you can’t afford to. Fortunately these con-men are mostly creatures of habit and give some clues that they are not on the level.
Remember too that you have no chance of winning a competition that you never entered in the first place. This seems like an obvious statement but some people really are tricked like this. If you suddenly receive an email telling you that you won a lot of money in a lottery you never entered then you should immediately be suspicious.
Another hallmark of lottery scams is the air of secrecy. Many of them ask you too keep your winnings a secret because of a mix up. They also use terms like email draws or claim the winnings are from draws where no tickets are sold. No legitimate lottery operates like this.
The next thing you will be asked to do is contact a claims agent. A real lottery will have a staff member contact you directly, they don’t use agents. If you do contact the so called agent you will be asked to pay them a sum of money. This is often explained as being for bank charges, processing fees, courier fees, to cover some form of authentication certificate or some other cost. This is an easy giveaway.
If you send money to these people its just about a given that you will never see it or hear from them ever again. A legitimate lottery will never ask you for money up front and anyway this is usually illegal. Any charges that do exist will be taken from the prize money before payout to you in the case of an official operator.
The language used is another clue. Phrases such as Winning Notification and Lottery Sweepstake are generally not used by genuine lottery operators or associated businesses that sell UK lottery tickets in other countries for example.
If you have been to either a race track or the fabulous Las Vegas, chances are you know what a bookmaker is. Not to be confused with the bookmarker, bookmakers are fondly known as the bookie which can either mean a company or a person who takes your bet. Despite its cute name, bookmakers are generally attached with bad reputations as they used to originate from mobs and gangs.
In this modern world, the occupation of bookmakers are provided from multinational companies that own the betting company, which still seems dodgy to most people. This is also the reason why looking for a bookmaker is a challenging process. Other than Nevada and the Atlantic City in the United States, bookmakers are elusive to locate.
Luckily, the situation is totally not the same outside of the United States. For example, the United Kingdom is practically congested with bookmakers found on every nook and cranny of any given street at any given time. Transactions are constant and well oiled because these bookmakers though many, all originate from multinational companies with good integrity.
Furthermore, these bookmakers are able to place your bets on a whole variety of games from football to horses as well as greyhounds. You can now also place bet on reality TV competitions such as “Britain’s Got Talent”, guess the sex gender of a royalty’s baby and predict the weather on Christmas Day. Simply put, whatever you can think of, some bookie in the United Kingdom probably already has a pool running.
Do remember that the job description of a bookmaker is not to help you place and win a bet. The job of a bookmaker is to help collect your money and make profit. Bookmakers have insider information, and always pool the odds in their favor.
This means that to triumph over a bookmaker, you need to have strategy and information as well. We suggest that you try the Sports Betting Champ System by Dr. John Morrison. Dr. John Morrison is a Ph.D. holder with over 20 years in statistics as well as sports betting experience.
Using the Sports Betting Champ System, Dr. John Morrison has now created a strategy where you can win with a success rate of 97%. Do note that his success rate is most applicable for Major League Baseball played in the United States. It is also nice to note that bookmakers always bet based on volume, rather than betting per game.
The Sports Betting Champ System also works in this way in that you gamble in a whole volume of games, hence utilizing this system against the bookmaker is ideal. Besides the MLB, one can also utilize the Sports Betting Champ System on the NBA, NFL and NHL. Before we conclude this article, we would like to once again highlight that it is important to remember that bookmakers exist to make their own profits, so refrain from betting blindly and instead utilize a strong system such as the Sports Betting Champ System.
Did you know that there exists a betting forum know as the Betfair forum? The Betfair forum is the best place to be at before, during and after a race. This is especially true if you are a gambling person yourself, for the forum is rife with information.
Even if you are a beginner, you will find that this forum is very useful as it will also provide walkthroughs, guides and even tips on how you can place your bets. In actual fact, even if you are a seasoned gambler, you never know what the Betfair forum may teach you as what you already know may not be the same as what already is. Best of all, the Betfair forum is filled with seasoned gamblers who are each generous enough to outlay their betting strategies.
As you learn and follow from these gambling experts, you too will eventually become a pro at gambling. After all, as the saying goes, don’t birds of the same feather flock together? The Betfair forum is also a great source to discuss a whole variety of betting systems.
Among the many betting systems up on discussion is one known as the Betfair Loophole. This system is interesting as it enables the gambler to place a whole variety of bets. Amongst the most common betting methods is backing, laying and trading.
In a backing bet, the gambler basically just predicts the winning horse. In a laying bet, the gambler basically just predicts the losing horse. The trading bet is the most complex of all as it is a mixture of both the backing and laying bets put together.
The problem with placing a whole group of gambling experts into one forum is that often times there is a clash of ego. Furthermore, because it is all done on the Internet, the power of anonymity is at play hence leading to trolling on the forum. Our advise is that you avoid such troublemakers and instead pay attention to the sincere and honest gambling experts whose only mission is to help out their fellow gamblers.
In case you didn’t already know, the Betfair forum has already been around for about 9 years and is still growing in popularity as more gamblers these days are also tech savvy. In this forum as well, people share information about the race as well as information on potential scams related to racing. It is not as boring as reading a book as updates are done instantly and the interaction is dynamic.
Probably our favorite part about the forum is that there is energy generated when like-minded individuals all come together because of something they are all passionate about. Furthermore, the solution to every successful venture is team work, and betting is simply one of those things that you cannot do alone. Hence in short, whether or not you’re new or familiar to the art of horse race betting, we recommend that you take some time to visit the Betfair forum today!

Having good online sports betting strategies can provide a great supplement to one’s daily income and the rise of online sports books gives bettors a place to make their wagers.
The first step is finding the right online sports book. With so many choices, research the Sportsbook you are looking at. Find out what it takes to deposit money, what information they will need, and maybe some feedback on that sportsbook from sports betting message boards.
Now you have an account set up, the next step in any online sports betting strategies is determining a handicapping budget. One’s budget must be responsible. In other words, do not bet what you do not have. It is important to realize any financial restrictions and to wager within them. Many online sports books give sign-up and referral bonuses based on how much money is deposited.
The second major step in any online sports betting strategies is betting on a sport that you are comfortable with handicapping. If a bettor is not familiar with NBA players or the NHL, it is wise to avoid betting on those games. Having knowledge of the teams and the sport while making a wager goes hand in hand with having a responsible limit.
Any online sports betting strategies must include research. Nearly all online sports books will have some sort of matchup section with statistics, previous games, and home/away records so that the bettor can make an informed decision. Be aware of injuries and current trends. If a team has lost four of their last five, it may be wise to avoid betting on them. If a team’s best player is playing with a nagging injury, or not playing altogether, it can easily affect the outcome of a game.
In addition, for your personal online sports betting strategies to be profitable, knowing the terminology that online sports books use is critical. The spread is a value that takes away points or adds points depending on the team that a bettor wagers on. The vigorish, or juice, is the value placed on betting that spread. For example, if a team is plus 7 at minus 110, that team will need to lose by six points or less or win the game. The -110 means that a bettor would need to bet $110 to win $100. The vig is how the bookmakers cover themselves if the money is heavier on one side or the other.
Also, any online sports betting strategies will need to show knowledge of the different kinds of bets. Parlay bets are the most popular and involve betting multiple lines on one ticket. These are higher risk because they require each individual game to end in the bettor’s favor, but also have higher payouts. Teaser bets alter the spread to make a better line for the bettor. These parlay bets payout less.
No matter the type of bet, having online sports betting strategies prior to signing up for one of the many online sports books is critical to one’s success. Research and a responsible budget keep sports betting fun, and hopefully, lucrative.
